Christmas Sewing

Two new Violet Field Threads patterns for Ava.
Penguins and candy canes on green.
I switched the fancy, open sleeve for a plain straight sleeve.

Instead of buttons there is a zipper.
The boat neckline looks so good on Ava.
The white grosgrain ribbon is sewn on the high waistline.

An A-line plaid without the collar and tabs.

Jessie suggested adding the pockets with a white border.
I used white pique and cut the pockets on the bias.
The pockets were too big, so I took them off and made them smaller.

The dress looks perfect on Ava with a pearl necklace and white tights.
Family photo at the Magic of Memphis symphony concert.

Little angel finger puppets made for my preschool choir kids.

Twelve placemats made for a housewarming gift.

I found a green tweedy remnant and paired it with an oatmeal knit.
Bree at the Sewing House helped me find the perfect binding fabric,
sage green chambray.

Trying out a friendship star block.
I think it looks like a star flower.

Made from 5 inch squares.
It measures 12.5 inches/12 inches finished.

I finished the iris and the fox for my Midnight Garden.
There are many more blocks to make.
