Wool sampler finished

 Once again I have written a whole blog on the wrong blog. Please go here to read about the sampler.


Here are the stitches used each day.
My circles are numbered right to left starting at the top right.
1. Blanket stitch
2. Fly stitch and a button
3. Detached chain, bouillion, French knots
4. Added felt shapes with straight stitches and French knots
5. Sheaf stitch, chain stitches, asterisk, knots
6.  Same stitch with different numbers of floss - fly stitches
7. Blanket stitch, pistil, straight stitch, back stitch, lazy daisy
8. Include beads or found object
9. Padded satin stitch
10. Try a stitch you've wanted to learn - woven picot
11. Chain stitch variation
12. Beads and French knots
13. Oyster stitch
14. Use an additional felt shape for reverse applique
15. Fishbone stitch
16. Seed stitch and beads
17. Use 5 different stitches - I used running, detached chain, French knot, woven circle, stem
18. Use on stitch with buttons and/or beads
19. Include pistil stitch and stem stitch
20. Couching stitch
21. Rosette chain stitch
22. Basque stitch running stitch whipped and threaded running stitch
23. Add two additional felt shapes. Choose your own stitches.
24. Spider wheel rose
25. Fern stitch
26. Whipped back stitch. Optional beads.
27. Add a trim like rickrack, ribbon, or lace.
28. Cross stitches
29. Wheat ear and Spanish knotted feather
30. Use 4 different stitches of your choice - blanket, backstitch, sheaf, beaded backstitch

It was fun. I learned new stitches and improved my understanding of applique on wool felt.
