Falling Leaves Finished Finally

The last time I posted about this little quilt, I was about to sew the blocks together.
Somehow in the construction I made a transpostition and didn't catch it until the rows were sewn together and the borders were done, too.

That mistake made me take out the row and two attempts later, it was fixed.

Then it sat and sat while I worked on prepping for one college class.
Also, during the past few weeks we have had workers removing the carpet and laying down
wood floors in 3 rooms including my sewing area.
I couldn't get back to sewing with everything out of place.
Finally, my teaching duties are over for the semester and sewing happened.

I quilted very little since this will be a either a table topper or wall hanging.
I documented the finish on the hanging triangles.
Thanks to my sister-in-law for the the kit.

One new thing I tried in this project - I ironed the binding after sewing it onto the back.
Ironing the folded corners made sewing the second round so easy.

Here is the back. All the fabric was included in the kit.

The only other sewing I managed to complete were some more masks.

This one has the new fold over elastic instead of cotton knit for the ear straps.

These two have silk from an old shirt as the lining.
Much softer but still makes my face sweat!

Now I have time to sew. Look for Christmas projects to be shared next. Sharing with Wendy's

Peacock Party.
